A Whole Lotta Stuff

Where to start? We had our 24 week visit yesterday, we are actually in our 25th week but with Christmas and our trip to Florida it was pushed back until yesterday. I woke up very early anxious about my glucose test. I also was very nervous about seeing the doctor again that I don't really care for. Austin decided to sit this appointment out which worked out great because my Mama has been dying to check on her grand-daughter. We arrived at my appointment and I did my weigh in and had my blood pressure checked. My blood pressure was 154/80, the nurse said she didn't think that was right and checked it again, this time it was 148/80. The nurse asked me if I had any previous problems with my blood pressure and I assured her I had not. I mentioned that the reason for my anxiety was because of my glucose test. Well the doctor said that it was border line high and told me I had two options. I could either monitor my blood pressure for the next two weeks or go on medication to regulate my blood pressure. I of course chose to monitor it for the next two weeks. The good news is I passed my glucose test yay!!! I asked the nurse after she had taken my blood if she would take my blood pressure again just to ease my mind and she agreed and after she gave me the good news that I passed my test by blood pressure was down to 138/80. She told me to still follow the doctor's orders and I would be back in two weeks for an update. So we go back to the doctor on January 14 and I feel very hopeful that my blood pressure will be back down. My doctor said that this happens often in healthy, pregnant women but I don't want to be medicated.

Now for the fun part - PICTURES

Pictures of our sweet girl from our 20 Week Appointment

Pictures from our wonderful trip to Florida

And finally Campbell's room is painted and furniture is in place, YAY! Not finished but we (I am sure Austin loves that) have made a lot of progress.  Austin worked very hard to get Campbell's nursery done for her but for me too.

Emma was very interested and wanted to be in the pictures!

Babymoon

We have been vacationing in Florida for the week. We left out Friday around lunch time and spent the night Friday in Jacksonville to break up our travels. We arrived in St. George Island around lunch on Saturday. We have been having a wonderful and relaxing vacation except for my stomach virus which has finally subsided. I was so sick Sunday and Monday. I finally broke down yesterday afternoon and called my OB-GYN and had them call in a prescription for me this has seemed to drastically help. I have been able to get out of our lovely beach house today. We went for a walk on the beach this morning, I think Emma enjoyed herself. We are leaving to head back to South Carolina Thursday morning in preparation for all of the Christmas celebrations.

On another note, Campbell's room has been painted and we are picking up her furniture Friday morning. I am so excited to get everything in her room and see how her bedding looks with the paint color we chose.

Campbell is now the size of a papaya.
Per the bump website watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! I'll be updating after our doctor's appointment on Monday. I am not looking forward to my glucose test. I'll be adding pictures soon!

Campbell's Room Update

It's official Campbell's furniture is in and so is her bedding! We cannot wait to get her room all set up. We are painting her room this weekend and hope to have all of her furniture in her room Sunday. We will be going to pick out the color of her room either tomorrow or Friday. I will be posting before and after pictures once the transformation is complete. Austin has already removed all of the prior furniture from the room.

We read that this would be Campbell's active stage and boy has that been true. She has been having a party in my belly the past few days and I love feeling her move constantly especially right after I eat. I have been seeing these neat little questionnaires on other blogs so thought I would do one.
