Austin

I must say I am very blessed in the husband department, I knew this long before I got pregnant with Campbell but Austin constantly amazes me. He is considerate and always a huge help around the house doing things that he knows I won’t feel like doing without being asked or told. These things certainly don’t go unnoticed. He compliments my growing belly and body and gives me confidence I would likely otherwise lack. He tells me I am beautiful when I don’t believe it. He makes me laugh about things when I only feel like crying. He has been a constant in my life and most of my adolescent memories onward involve him in some way or another. It’s hard to believe he has been mine for the last 8 years and we are a few weeks away from celebrating 4 wonderful years of marriage. I am luckiest girl in the whole world and thank you for keeping me happy. As we close in on the final weeks before Campbell’s birth I think it’s safe to say I love Austin now more than I ever have and I know that love will only grow whenever I see him with our daughter. I am so looking forward to this next chapter in our life. Campbell is lucky to have you as a Daddy.

Showering Campbell

We had our first baby shower today at St. Johns United Methodist Church. This is the church that Austin grew up in and those ladies sure do know how to throw a wonderful shower. The food was absolutely delicious, and wouldn't you know they had my favorite pregnancy food cupcakes. Campbell got tons of wonderful things and we are so very thankful for the love and support. She is definitely already spoiled! Austin made the comment when we were putting things away in her room after the shower that he thought there was no way we would fill all the drawers in her room, but said he was definitely mistaken. We seriously have the best friends and family. Here are a few pictures below from the shower, note to self do not wear a sleeveless dress when 8 months pregnant ha.

8 Months Pregnant

We've had an exciting couple of weeks. We had our maternity pictures done on Thursday. We were supposed to have them done last weekend, but our photographer came down with the flu so we had to reschedule. We had a great time and I cannot wait to see the finished product. I'll post below the "sneak" peak which is one picture our photographer posted on her website.

We have started going back to the doctor every 2 weeks now. We went to the doctor Friday and Campbell is doing great. She had a heartbeat of 141 and my belly is measuring 31cm so we are right on track. I unfortunately had to have blood taken to check my hemoglobin level and it was lower than what it should be. So I was provided a prescription for an iron supplement as well as told to follow an iron rich diet. The doctor said that this is normal at this stage of pregnancy and should be easily corrected. Bring on the red meat! And who know that raisin bran had so much iron? We go back to the doctor on March 1 and after that appointment we will start going weekly! It's really hard to believe that I am 8 months pregnant. I am so excited to meet our sweet girl, but I am definitely not ready to share her with the rest of the world just yet.

We went to Charlotte today and had our 3d/4d ultrasound done again seems how Campbell was being uncooperative last time. I am so glad we did, we were about to get a ton of cute pictures and to see how she is progressing. She is not breach thankfully but is transverse hopefully she will be making the move downward in a few weeks. We were told that she is measuring around 4 pounds and will likely be around 7 pounds when she is born. I'll be interested to see if the measurements are accurate when she is born. She was showing all of her many faces and expressions, as Austin said I wonder where she gets that from ha-ha. We have our first baby shower tomorrow at the church Austin grew up in. We are definitely excited!

Without further ado pictures overload:

I couldn't get our "sneak" peak picture to post correctly so below is a link to the photo.

I couldn't resist posting these, Austin decided it would be cute to put Emma in the crib which how adorable is she!?!?

Oh and we finally did get our new camera, I think you can tell the difference but if you can't just tell me you can.

My favorite subject :-)

We had these fabulous cupcakes from "Cupcakes" on Valentines Day, these puppies were delicious.

30 Weeks = 75% Done

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks

How big is the baby? Per baby center 2.91 pounds or the size of squash

Weight gain? 25 pounds which is perfect per the doctor, sounds like a lot to me

Maternity clothes? Definitely, still able to wear some non-maternity dresses and tops

Stretch marks? Nope

Sleep? Still sleeping pretty good, wake up a decent amount during the night and have a hard time falling sleep

Best Moment this week? Seeing and hearing Campbell have the hiccups at the doctor this morning

Movement? She is a busy girl

Food cravings? Honey Nut Cheerios, cupcakes, anything sweet which is definitely not normal for me

Gender? 100% girl

Labor Signs? A few Braxton Hicks

Belly Button in or out? Out

What I miss? Sleeping on my stomach & pre-pregnancy body

What I am looking forward to? Maternity pictures next weekend, another 3d-4d ultrasound the following weekend and the first one of our showers

Weekly Wisdom? I got nothing…

Milestones? Making it to the 30 week mark so 75% done

I cannot believe we have made it to the 30 week mark, seems hard to believe that in 10 weeks give or take a week or two Campbell will be making her appearance into the world. We will now start having doctor’s visits every two weeks until the 35 week mark then we will go weekly until she makes her arrival. The doctor gave me a clean bill of health and said everything is going perfectly and to keep up the good work. I am getting excited but also very nervous.
