Houston we have a problem....
So as I mentioned in a previous post Campbell started acting a little fussy on Saturday and we just assumed it was from lack of napping at the beach that left her feeling cranky. Well on Sunday whenever we got home she was still being fussy so I assumed she was constipated (TMI I know) so I tried to give her a little ahem relief. On Monday she still wasn't seeming like herself so I tried to help her out again and still nothing. On Tuesday it seemed like we were out of the woods seems that she had cleared her pipes. Not so she cried ALL DAY LONG. Nothing we seemed to do could comfort her and she seemed like she was in a lot of pain. I was able to put her down for the night around 7:30 and she seemed to be feeling better. Cue today, Mama called and asked if she could bring us lunch. I told her that would be great. Well whenever she got to our house Campbell started screaming again as if she was in pain. Mama suggested it would be best if we called the doctor as this had been the second day in a row this had happened. Keep in mind Campbell is such a happy go lucky baby so this is very abnormal and she doesn't cry just to cry. So we called the doctor and scheduled an appointment and off we headed. Turns out Campbell is teething!!! Who knew? I made mention on the way to the doctor that she had been drooling which had not done before and I bet she was teething. I just didn't expect it to be so soon. The doctor confirmed what I suspected and said she had a couple of teeth trying to cut through on top. I had no idea that babies would start teething at 11 weeks old. Now that we know what is causing her discomfort we have been trying to soothe her with Baby Orajel and teething rings. Here's hoping these teeth cut through soon and Campbell starts feeling better. We also found that Campbell is weighing in at 11 pounds. I am so impressed with our sweet baby girl!
We are the champions....AGAIN!
I am so pumped that our baseball team once again won the College World Series by defeating SEC rival Florida. I am very thankful I was not pregnant during these last few games or all of these close games would have surely sent me into labor. Before we made it to the championship series Austin vowed that if we win the National Championship next year which would obviously make it three years in a row then Campbell could pull for our Gamecocks in baseball. Do you hear that Ray Tanner??? I need for you to make that happen so Campbell can sport cute things such as this....
And this....
I am putting this on here in case it actually happens next year and I forget. I think those chances are pretty slim that I'll forget but y'all are my witnesses, do you hear me :-)
GO COCKS!!!!

Toes in the water....
We made a trip to Pawleys Island last weekend to see my dear friend Lauren better known as La or Labert get married. We decided it would be a great time to take Campbell to the beach and to visit my best friend Kari. Campbell was an absolute angel in the car ride down and did great spending two nights away from home. I wasn't really sure how she would do. She has spent the night at my parents several nights but you just never know. We got down to Pawleys around lunchtime on Friday and headed out for lunch and some beach time. Here Campbell is already on vacation mode.
Seems how we knew Campbell is not to wear sunscreen before she turns 6 months old, we knew it was necessary to keep her out of the sun. So we of course had an umbrella then put her into her SPF 50+ tent which she actually loved. I wasn't sure how she would do being outside for so long but so began her love affair with water (cue Brad Paisley)... Austin said that song screams me and I hope that Campbell will enjoy the water as much as we both do. On Saturday we ate brunch with Kari and Jason then we headed out to the beach again. Campbell refused to take a nap on Saturday so she was a wee bit fussy to say the least. Kari and Jason watched Campbell while we went to the wedding reception and Kari assured us that Campbell was an absolute angel. Side story....Kari went to pick up take-out and left Jason home with Campbell. Well Campbell spit her paci out while Kari was gone so Jason called Kari to find out what he should do. Note Campbell was not crying, I thought this was so hysterical. We had a wonderful weekend and it was so great to be able to visit with Kari & Jason. Thanks again for having us! I look forward to many more beach trips with Campbell. Without further ado some photos, likely the reason you visit our page anyways :-)
And of course a couple pictures from La's big day:

Happy Father's Day
A very special Happy First Father's Day to my sweet hubby! Austin enjoyed playing golf today and I cooked chicken spaghetti and squash casserole for dinner per Austin's request. I also made a peach cobbler with the delicious peaches we have been getting from his Daddy. Campbell, Emma, and I are very lucky to have you. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Austin & Campbell.

Two Months Already!
It's hard to believe that our sweet girl is two months old already. I cannot believe I only have one more month left of maternity leave. I do however feel very fortunate for the time I have been able to stay home and spend with her. Now on to the fun stuff.
Things Campbell loves:
Being outside - the girl could seriously spend hours upon hours outside just looking around. I think she just loves all of the different things to look at.
Morning - she is just a happy happy baby first thing in the morning. She gives me her biggest smiles and coos first thing in the morning.
Her hands
Pacifier - we attempted for a few hours to take a pacifier away, Austin disagreed with me on that and refused to let her scream. So we are back to loving our "paci".
Things Campbell dislikes:
Taking naps : she is a great sleeper at night but during the day she doesn't care much for napping at all. She takes catnaps most days lasting somewhere between 30-45 minutes.
Campbell most definitely has her witching hour nightly around 6:00 to 6:30 and it usually last for an hour. I think she is just exhausted from not really napping during the day and is ready for bed.
Accomplishments:
She is really good at just hanging out in her crib and putting herself to sleep.
Sleeping through the night. We have gotten on a great schedule where we usually put Campbell down around 8 or 8:30 we then "dreamfeed" her around 10:30 or 11:00 and this gets us to somewhere between 5:30am and 7:00am. I am going to try and cut out the "dreamfeed" before I head back to work. She doesn't wake to be fed again but I am not sure how long the 7:30 feeding would last her.
Holding her head up. She can seriously hold her head up for about 20 seconds. She was laying on my chest the other day and was holding her head up for a while so she could look at me. I was quite impressed.
Using her legs - she loves to push her legs against my chest and try to "stand" up when I try to sit her down on my lap. Austin and I were both early walkers so we are guessing Campbell may be too.
I am sure I am missing something else, but here are a few pictures we took on her two month "birthday"

Memorial Day Weekend
We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and hope you did as well. On Friday night we took it easy got takeout and watched movies. On Saturday we headed over to Janine & Ryan's for a pool party. Campbell hung out and napped inside mainly because it was hot and very sunny and babies aren't supposed to have sunscreen on their skin until they are 6 months old so we figured inside was the best place for her. She was perfectly content napping inside. Unfortunately I didn't even take the camera out of the car, slacker I know! On Sunday Campbell stayed with Austin's parents while we hit the lake with some of our closest friends. We had a great time and it was nice to be back out on the water. Sunday night we spent the night with my parents and Austin played golf on Memorial Day. Overall a very relaxing weekend.
Here are some pictures of Cato & Campbell from a recent visit. We have also have to figure out how to shrink our HD video because I have a hilarious video to post of Uncle Catie & Campbell :-)
