We have been busy busy busy enjoying all things related to Christmas. We officially kicked off Christmas the Sunday after Thanksgiving by picking out our tree. Campbell spotted our tree and said it's the biggest tree in the whole wide world. It's definitely the biggest tree we have ever had or will ever have. Austin had to trim a little off the top. Austin was a good sport and brought the tree in all by himself but luckily Campbell helped him put the lights on the tree.
Next up we headed to Storytime with Mrs. Claus at our local library. We participated in this last year and Campbell loved it. I on the other hand realized how quickly my girl is growing up whenever she told me to go sit in the back with Daddy. She did wonderful and had no problem telling Mrs. Claus what she wanted for Christmas.
Later in the week we headed to PJs with Santa which is put on by the Junior League. I was very concerned about how Campbell would do after the disaster that was our Christmas picture last year. However after she looked at the picture from last year repeatedly and told me she didn't like the picture from last year and that she would do better this year. She smiled, smiled some more and told Santa exactly what she wants. My sweet princess isn't asking for much this year. She asked for Belle socks, Ariel socks, Sofia socks, Hello Kitty socks, and a new Ariel because the one from her birthday is broken. My girl is all about practical presents.
Mama and I had taken Campbell to see the Two Claras last year and thought she would be ready to see The Nutcracker this year. Well Mama called the Koger Center to see if they would be doing a dress rehearsal because neither of the times worked with her napping schedule and bedtime. They said yes as a matter of fact we are doing a dress rehearsal on Friday. We got seated with BLPS and didn't know any different until a family friend turned around and asked Campbell if she was excited to see Jack Frost. It was cute and Campbell enjoyed it but definitely no comparison to the Nutcracker. Better luck next year I suppose. Later that afternoon we baked Christmas cookies and goodies with Mama as we did last year. Campbell was our official taste tester. That girl has a sweet tooth like her Mama I tell you.
We had my parents Christmas party last Saturday then headed to the zoo lights with the Wall family last Sunday night.
We also headed to Saluda Shoals to see the lights on the river and also headed to our local Chick Fil A to see the big guy one more time. I headed to Atlanta for a quick girls trip to see Justin Timberlake. Even talking about all of our fun activities is wearing me out.
Campbell also showed off all her singing and dancing talents at my parent's church program, open house with her dance studio and her school program which I will do a separate post on all her awesomeness. We have been so busy that I thought it best we stay home and do some fun Christmas activities. Campbell and I did two Christmas crafts along with building a gingerbread house. The rest of the weekend we played outside. What a blessing it is to have had this 80 degree weather in December. Campbell told me today that I was the best princess in the entire world. I love that sweet girl something fierce!
Until next time,
XOXO

The Childers Christmas Card 2013
I love Christmas and absolutely love sending Christmas cards to our family and friends. I love receiving cards from our friends and family and it's a time to soak in and realize how blessed we really are. I love seeing how our families change from year to year. I loved so many of our Christmas photos so it was definitely hard picking out a favorite. Below is our 2013 Christmas Card.
I couldn't be more pleased with how these turned out. Our sweet girl is always merry and bright so I thought that title was perfect. Below is some of my other favorites. Ashley with Joyful Images Photography is so talented and we have so many wonderful pictures from our shoot.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Xoxo,
Leslie
