This weekend was one for the books. It’s the best weekend of
soccer Campbell has played to date. We had low expectations because we were in
the hardest division but our girls played lights out. Campbell ended the
weekend scoring 5 of her team’s 6 goals and her coach named her the MVP for the
tournament. The championship game was nerve wracking to say the least. We were
all tied up 1-1 at the end of regulation. We played two five minute quarters
and we were still tied up so penalty kicks were the deciding factor. Coach
Shawn called Campbell out to be goalie and I’ve got to say she crushed it. My
nerves were all sorts of shot but it didn’t faze Campbell AT ALL. She stopped 3
out of 5 pks which is pretty much unheard of at her age and she made her PK.
Our girls crushed the PKs! I love the fact that her coach was over on the
sidelines coaching Campbell up.

February
If I could use only one word to describe February it would
be insanity. Basketball season was still in full swing and we added soccer
season into the mix as well.
Campbell fortunately only played with the 2010 girls for her
first soccer tournament of the season. We celebrated Granddaddy’s birthday then I
attended surprise party for one of my friends. Saturday the weather was
perfection, Sunday the weather was gloomy.
Fortunately after our trip to Colorado we had Presidents Day
off. We were able to cheer on Tristan as they played in Lexington.
Campbell wrapped up basketball season with a sports banquet.
Our girl loves basketball and we are planning on playing in an all-girl summer
league. I can’t wait to see her grow as a player.
We celebrated Campbell making all As.
Campbell cheered on the Patriots for the Super Bowl. I can’t
blame her for cheering on Tom Brady (GOAT) and Stephon Gilmore obviously!
Our sweet Ali participated in the Miss Panther pageant and
won her first title! We were so proud of her.

King & Princess Ball
We were beyond thrilled that the Daddy Daughter dance was
moved to a Friday night this year and that Austin was in town. It tends to
correspond with one of his annual work conferences. If you recall last year
Uncle Boo was the best fill in. Gigi was kind enough to get Campbell the
perfect purple dress this year. Campbell asked me to straighten her hair and
she went from looking 7 to 17. I cannot believe how grown she is! They had the
best time at the dance but I don’t think there was much time actually spent
with Daddy. She had the BEST time hanging out with her friends. Fortunately
Austin did as he was told and documented the fun with pictures. I hope Campbell
always knows how much her Daddy loves her and just how special these times are.

January
January always seems like a long month. I appreciate the lazy days before sports seasons crank up. We had some unseasonably warm and dry weather so we had a family golf day. It was nice to take Marley with us and let her run around the course off leash. It was a fun day.
Basketball season started up for Campbell and she couldn’t have been more excited. She absolutely loves basketball and has really improved since last year. Campbell and her buddy William liked to work on plays.
Along with playing basketball she and I had the opportunity
to go a few Carolina basketball games.
We were fortunately to see our Gamecocks upset the Auburn tigers.

Our sweet Leandra was in the Miss Timberwolf pageant. We are so very proud of her!
