Celebrating NINE

Campbell's 9th birthday didn't look anything like we had planned for. We were supposed to be in Aruba for Spring Break but because of COVID-19 our plans were de-railed. I think I was more upset about our travel plans being cancelled than the birthday girl. Her day revolved around eating at her favorite places, playing PlayStation (without me fussing at her) and spending time together as a family. She requested Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast, Groucho's for lunch, and McAlisters for dinner. What she didn't know is that she had a birthday parade planned just for her. I lured her outside to take pictures in front of her birthday sign. She said I should have a sign that says honk if you are happy and then everyone driving back would honk. Within the next minute the parade begin. I made the mistake of asking Austin to video and unfortunately he didn't catch all of the parade. It absolutely made Campbell's day to see so many of our friends and family. Later that night when I asked her what her favorite part of her day was she said the birthday parade and the relay race in the backyard. When she blew out her candle after dinner she said do you know what I wished for? She said she wished for COVID-19 to be over and things to be normal. Me too, sweet girl, me too. My verse I pray for you is Proverbs 3:15 She is more precious than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. I am sure this will be a birthday she never forgets and we are already planning a trip to make up for it!

NINE

Campbell Grace it's so hard to believe you are NINE. My hope is that you always know how loved and treasured you are. One of my favorite verses I prayed over you when I was pregnant was James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. We absolutely adore you and are so thankful you are ours. 

You are fiercely competitive, athletic, PlayStation expert, love with your whole heart, funny, bundle of joy. Your favorite sport is soccer. You adore being goalie and for now want to be a professional soccer player. You have learned to scheme your Daddy out of money while working on your goalie skills. It's quite funny to watch you two. You love basketball and cannot wait to play again this summer. You continue to excel at golf but your favorite thing is getting to drive the golf cart and

drink Gatorade while out of the club. You are smart as whip and continue to excel in school. Your favorite subjects are math and PE. You love Marley and have a heart of gold. You love to travel and are like your Mama always looking forward to our next adventure. You can talk your Daddy into just about anything and I love that about you!
