Happy Half Birthday!

Dear Campbell,

It’s so hard to believe you are six months old today. Where have the past six months gone? My teeny tiny baby is growing up so quickly. Here is a quick recap of the past six months.

 

6 Month Stats
Weight: TBD I am guessing you are somewhere around 15 pounds

Height: TBD

Food: 6 ounce bottles 5 times a day, plus three meals. Eating rice cereal or oatmeal with a fruit for breakfast, rice cereal or oatmeal with a veggie for lunch, veggie or fruit for dinner.

Diaper: Size 2 (I have a feeling we will be in 2s for a while)

Clothes: 3-6 months

What’s new in your world?

-Gigi decided you need some big girl toys as you have grown bored playing with your baby toys. So you are the proud new owner of a cell phone, v-tech and a few other things that I don’t know what to call them.

- You are a rolling over queen. You can roll across the room if we don’t keep an eye on you. Its times like these when I wish we had carpet in the living room instead of hardwoods.

- You can sit up for a few seconds on your own unassisted

- You have your first tooth and we expect a second, and third one to pop up any day now

- You are now eating in your highchair; you look so tiny in your chair

-You can army crawl somewhat when you are trying to get a toy or Emma  

-You completed your first 5k with Mommy & Gigi by your side

-You took your first family vacation, not to mention rode in the car for 8 hours and were AMAZING!

-You survived your first loss as a Gamecock; Daddy’s tigers are still trucking along

-You went to Viva La Vista with Emerson, Mama & Daddy, & Emerson’s parents. You are very affectionate and always want to love on Emerson when you see her. Melts.My.Heart.

 -You absolutely adore Emma, I think she is finally coming around and loves you too

 -We had a half-birthday “party” for you. Mama baked you a strawberry cake, which is her favorite. I am sure at your next half birthday celebration you’ll tell me what kind of cake you want. 

 -I’ve started letting you hold your sippy cup, as you will start drinking out it soon. You already know what to do with it; you turn it up then look at me like Mom its empty, what’s the big idea?

-You want to touch anything and everything. If it’s within reach you best believe you are going to grab whatever it is then proceed to stick it in your mouth. 

You are such a wonderful, beautiful, smart, and sweet baby! I do not know where the time has gone. We love you so very much!
