Campbell Grace you are 11 months old and you are definitely
becoming quite a little person these days. I think this past month we have seen
the most changes developmentally in you.
What’s new in your world?
You are now an avid walker and can get from room to room. Yesterday
you walked all the way from the kitchen to our bedroom and that’s long walk.
You love to clap and you copy Mama a lot and say “yay”
whenever you do something great or whenever Emma does something great. You went
to Toddler Time earlier this week and apparently had a blast. Gigi & Ms.
Whitnie both said you stood up during class, clapped and said yay when the
songs were over. You are not shy at all, big surprise huh?
You have taken an interest in Sesame Street and love Elmo.
We limit the amount of TV you get to watch but Sesame Street & Mickey Mouse
Clubhouse seem to be your favorite shows. You point whenever Elmo is on the TV
and have even said Elmo. You are the smartest!
You have started noticing all of the pictures of our family
around the house and love to point at them and any other objects you want. You
have gotten more vocal when you want something. You like to sit in the glider
in your room, rocking and reading a book to your baby.
You love to have tea parties and play with your babies. You
love to love on your babies and whenever I saw awe Campbell is so sweet you
love on your babies more and just smile.
I love whenever you walk up behind me and put you head on my back and
love on Mommy. You are so affectionate. Your Daddy was washing dishes yesterday
and you walked up behind him loving Daddy and he admits it melted his heart.
You are still a great eater and are pretty much eating
everything these days. We are beginning the transition to whole milk and I am
hopeful it will go smoothly. You really aren’t that interested in the milk
these days and I’m lucky if I can get you to drink 18 ounces. You are probably
drinking 4 ounces of water in addition to milk. Speaking of milk, I am done
pumping. I am so glad I committed to making enough milk for a year. I honestly
cannot believe I was able to make enough milk without supplementing. I’m a
little sad that this time has come to a close but excited because you are
becoming such a big girl. I want to shout I AM FREE!
I became a little teary eyed when talking with your Daddy
about what a big girl you are now. And of course your daddy’s response was “is
this where the baby fever kicks in again”? Definitely not because you are still
a baby in my book!
You know how to make pretty hands when we say the blessing
before meals, cutest.thing.ever. You sign consistently for more and milk
(drink). You know the signs for eat, bath, all done. We are still working on
please and thank you.
Last night when I asked you if you were ready for your bath,
you walked from your bedroom to the bathroom and then turned around looking at
your Daddy like are you coming or what it’s time for my bath? I cannot believe
how smart you are.
You are wearing mostly 9 month clothes
and some of your 12 month clothes. I feel like you have “slimmed" down since you
started walking. You are wearing size 3 diapers and size 2 shoes.
I have mixed emotions
about you turning one. I love watching you grow up but I am sad because the “baby”
faze has gone by so fast. I could watch you for hours, you provide me with
endless amounts of entertainment and my heart has never been fuller. My cup
runneth over.
I hope you are always this sweet baby girl, grow up knowing
how loved you are, and love the Lord.
I love you to the moon and back.
Love,
Mama
That was really sweet, Leslie! I love reading all the little stories about Campbell :)
