Austin = Nesting Mode

Austin decided it would be a great idea to get the baby’s room organized and in the process drive me crazy. He decided to take it upon himself to begin cleaning out the closet and cedar chest and by cleaning out I mean taking everything out and sitting everything on the bed for me to go through. I said honey next time you want to organize why don’t we talk about it before you decide to pull everything out. So he showed me everything that he had pulled out and I said yes or either no. We ended up taking quite a few things to goodwill as I don’t see me wearing many of the things I wore pre-baby. I caught myself saying now is that really something a Mama should wear. What I should have been saying is that really something a 28 year old should be wearing? It was very productive but I started crying when he began dragging boxes into the living room and insisted I go through these things that I had managed to put off since we moved in May. I found my old Kappa Kappa Gamma jerseys which I insisted on saving merely for the fact in case we have a legacy. But now all that’s left in the baby’s closet is the baby’s things so thank you Austin for making me do this not so fun task.

Bump Watch:
The bump continues to grow though I have not gained any weight since my 16 week visit which is fine by me. My Mama said yesterday that my back felt thin when she hugged me and my face looked thin, major score J She wanted to make sure I was eating enough and assured her this was not an issue. We find out the sex of Baby Childers next Wednesday and couldn’t be more ready. We plan on going shopping with my mama immediately following our appointment to get the furniture for the baby’s room and maybe the bedding. We are going to head over to Harbison Friday to try and get a better idea of what we would like. I know we want to get a crib that will eventually convert to a full size bed. I am anxious to go ahead and get the baby’s room set up but we obviously need to know the sex first.

Oh and in case you have been asleep under a rock the Gamecocks are the SEC East Champs! I am glad the baby now has ears and can hear what is going on. I made sure to tell the baby the good news, as Mama has been waiting a long time for this. I hope this is the turning of the page and Baby Childers won’t have to suffer all the years of heartbreak my Gamecocks put me through. We are planning on making the trip to Atlanta as who knows this next time this will happen. Honestly this has been the most enjoyable year of football I have ever experienced :-) now if we can top it off with a win against Clemson and capture the SEC title.
